The Dome itself is adorned with beautiful mosaics created by the Vatican School, with Michelangelo contributing to its design until his death at 89. Your guide will also take you through the Papal Crypts, where you’ll visit Saint Peter’s Tomb and the graves of numerous Popes. The adventure continues with a climb up to the Dome, which involves a lift partway up, followed by 320 steps. From the top, you’ll be treated to an extraordinary 360° panoramic view of Rome.
